Poem 9

Sometimes in summer, there will be rain

Sometimes the sunshine, mixes with pain

Sometimes the clouds, seem to cover the stars

And the distance between us, is miles apart

But there's more to the rain, than the erosion

It washes away stains, and adds to the ocean

The rain cares for Earth, in ways we do not

It waters the plants, that we put in pots

For me it's a reminder, a message from heaven

There's something greater, in colors of seven

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet

A reminder that I, don't know everything yet.

That each strike of lighting, colors the sky

It lights up the darkness, before my eyes

And every single booming, sound of thunder

Tells me I have a voice, and it can be louder.
