This is the final update for my portfolio project. In this post I will give you a good look at the work that I have completed on this project, and how the final product turned out.
Before you start…

An overview of the final week…
In case you haven’t read my previous posts, I spent this month building a website for a media brand that I started about a year ago. I staged the project schedule so that I would be able to take the last week of this month to analyze the response from my viewers, and actually test out the website.
In clear and simple terms, this week I:
Created and designed content for the Clam Chowder website.
Purchased hosting and a domain name in order to launch.
Did a test launch of the website on a smaller audience, made adjustments and relaunched publicly.
Tracked analytics on Squarespace.
Made social media announcements on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
From a critical perspective…
It has always been important to me to be honest with myself about my output and productivity. There was one area in particular that I could have done a lot more with. So, I want to recognize that here:
I initially planned to spend a week of this month focusing on social media marketing. In the end, I chose to spend time on other areas of the project. I know that I could have handled more work each week, and I think that it would have improved my reach with the website.
Patting myself on the back…
Now, here’s what I’m really proud of from this month:
I had the base of my website completely finished in two days. When I showed it to a test audience, the response that I got was overwhelmingly positive. Everyone liked the design and organization of it. I was even told that I should sit down and re-design my personal website, because the Clam Chowder site was so much better. I was really happy with that because it is only my second attempt at a website, and I think that I might be a natural at this kind of thing.
In my Week 3 update I mentioned the response rate that I had from contributors. It was a whopping 75%! I was able to take all of these individuals through a sales-like process. I reached out with a cold contact, followed-up, and closed.
A lot of content was created, organized, and uploaded for this project. I received profile content from each artist, wrote four blog series, and created scheduled content for the site for the next six weeks.
